After selecting the area they have captured, users can use a variety of tools on the screen in real time to mark the specified content (including brushes, masks, shapes, etc.), and also provide functions such as sharing, searching with Bing, and asking Copilot.

Currently, Windows 11’s built-in Snipping Tool can be launched by pressing Win+Shift+S three buttons at the same time. In recent years, the tool has received continuous utility upgrades, including screen recording, saving as GIFs, extracting text and charts, and more.
