Filling the gaps: Firefox browser will natively support Google Lens visual search feature

Windows Report, a technology media, reported today (August 14, 2023) that the Firefox browser will natively support the Google Lens image search feature,
The right-click menu will have an option “Search with Google Lens”.

This option appears in the context menu, alongside features such as “Open Image in New Tab”, “Copy Image”, “Screenshot”, etc., and testing has shown that it can still be used normally even in Incognito mode, and it does not leave a history on the local device.

If users are interested in goods in an image or are unsure what the object in the image is, after right-clicking the image, they can select the “Search with Google Lens” option to directly jump to the Google Lens website to view the results.

Search results pages will be presented in a new tab, containing modules such as “Visual Matching”, “Product Recommendation” and “About This Image”, providing functions such as object recognition, similar product search and image text information extraction.
